How much are your custom cakes?

We do not have a standard price list for our custom cakes because every cake is unique and designed to fit the individual needs and satisfaction of our customers. Prices are determined on a project-by-project basis.

How do I order a Custom Cake?

We have a variety of ways to contact us regarding your custom orders such as phone, email, our online quote request form, or by visiting our store front location. However the two most efficient ways are through our e-mail, customcakes@lacasadolce.ca, or through our online quote request form.

We require at least 2 – 3 weeks notice on all custom orders however if you inform us of your order on short notice, we will try our best to accommodate you depending on our availability and the complexity of your request, however it is not guaranteed.

How far in advance should I book my wedding cake appointment?

We suggest you call to book your appointment a 2-3 weeks before you would like to come in, and plan to come in approximately 4-6 months before your wedding date.

Our consultations are FREE of charge and take place on Saturday and Sunday. If a scheduling conflict arises, we will try our best to accommodate a date that better fits your schedule.

What do I need to bring to my consultation?

Standard information including the date of your occasion, approximate number of guests, the location of the event, and any other details for that day. It would also be beneficial to bring color swatches, invitations, details from your wedding dress/bridesmaids dresses, pictures from the internet or magazines, etc. and any other small details that you would like to see included in your cake.

What is your payment policy?

Any order that is above $150.00 requires a 30% non-refundable deposit when ordering. The remaining amount is due one week prior to your event (some exceptions can be made). Any custom cake orders that are placed less than two weeks (if we have the availability) prior to your event, require payment in full to La Casa Dolce.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you choose to cancel your order, you must notify La Casa Dolce at least 6 business days in advance. At this time you will be refunded your remaining balance however the deposit is non-refundable. If your cancellation request is made less than 6 days before your event there will be no payment refund. If an order is not picked up or a complication arises during the delivery (denied delivery), La Casa Dolce will make every attempt to contact the client.

What are your methods of payment?

We accept cash, cheques, debit, and most major credit cards (Visa, Master Card).

Do you deliver?

We deliver wedding and custom cakes that usually require assembly on-site or that are more than 2 tiers tall. We generally deliver to most Southern Ontario regions however depending on the region, special arrangements must be considered. Our delivery charges are based on both Kilometres traveled and time, please ask for details.

La Casa Dolce highly recommends that any custom or wedding cakes over 2 tiers or that require delicate care when transporting is delivered by the La Casa Dolce team. If the delivery option is declined, the cake will be picked up and transported by the client at their own risk as we cannot be held responsible for any damages to the cake after it leaves our premises.

What can you do for someone with allergies or diet limitations?

La Casa Dolce is NOT a peanut free establishment as we do use peanuts in some of our pastries and cakes. We cannot guarantee our products against air-borne allergies and therefore any requests for our products with severe allergy restrictions will be denied.

We understand that many people face intolerances to gluten however we are currently NOT able to produce or provide gluten free products. We hope to have gluten free products available in the future.

Are your products freshly baked?

La Casa Dolce takes great pride not only in the appearance of our products, but more importantly, the taste! We make all of our cakes and pastries daily and all custom cakes are made to order, never frozen. We only use fresh ingredients in our products to ensure the best tasting cakes and pastries are produced daily for our clients. Our goal of 100% satisfaction among our clients relies on the diligent and meticulous care we put into each and every product we produce.
